So there was some recent fire in the industry last month.  The TE37 Ultras many had been waiting for were finally arriving via ocean freight.  Yes some came earlier via air freight, but those are few and in different sizing.  See, the sizing Rays suggested for everyone in GTR sizing that would fit 285/315 tires, without a great deal of camber were 20×10 +31 20×12 +20.  Wonderful!  They fit, they’re concave, and they’re the first time a TE37 has been made in 20″.  (YAY FOR TECHNOLOGY!)

One hold up, every picture EVERY PICTURE, that Rays showed of the wheels was with a concave face.  There was not one picture EVER given to the public of face 1 or face 2.  Nor did we know the sizing at the time of pre-orders of the demo cars we saw with the wheels.  First pictures of this setup came out early last month and it seemed to shake some people up.  Disappointment is maybe not a strong enough term for those who spent some $5,000 on their new wheels.  Why are they not concave up front?  The fronts are ugly! Etc etc.

Well we brought in three sets.  Our clients were a little shaken up as well over the news, and the first, who is the owner of the black GTR, bit the bullet and said slap them on.  There were no returns possible after this.  So here are some ” proper” pictures of these wheels in said sizing.  We all are taken back at how amazing they look here at SPE.  Yes the front may not have a super concave face, but that is common nature on any RWD or RWD biased car.  To me, personally, this is a proper setup and looks terrific.  Feel free to dislike or like.
